I came to Fitness RX Studios with mixed feelings of fear and hope. Last October, my doctor gave me three months to get my blood work under control. My cholesterol was high (200), but what concerned her more was my diabetes. Despite being on medication, my A1C level was 11.6%, which should be below 7%.

The next step, as she saw it, was to work on my insulin level, except that I don’t like needles. I was scared that I had allowed myself to get to this point.

From then on, I set out to lower all these numbers. In the first months, I cut out carbohydrates and reduced the portions of what I consume in a day, but my sugar levels were still high. I became frustrated and hopeless. Then, I found Fitness RX Studios.

I explained my goal to Jay and the timeline my doctor recommended to me. At first, I was skeptical of my nutrition plan as I was told not to cut out any food groups, which are all the other “diets” I am used to consuming. I was encouraged to eat pizza, pasta, and all the stuff I was told to stay away from, as long as it fit my nutrition plan. Of course, I still have to eat my veggies and fruits.

Two months later, my A1C level was down to 6.5%, and my cholesterol level was down to 162. I also lost weight! My doctor was floored and shocked, considering what I hadn’t been able to do in 2 years, I was able to accomplish in 2 months. My numbers continue to improve so much that my doctor took steps to take me off my medications.

I am grateful to Jay, who has helped me get healthy and strong on the inside as well as the outside. Bonus: It doesn’t hurt that they are excellent trainers who are as dedicated to your goals as you, if not more.

There was a lot of chatter in the hospital lately among the staff about getting fit, wearing bathing suits, the warm weather, etc. I have had several people commenting on what good shape I am in, but it was all thanks to Jay.

Next month will mark the second year since I started her program. I lost 20 lbs the first year, and I have maintained that for one year! I do the flexible eating plan and eat what I want while staying within my macros. I regularly do weight lifting circuits twice a week and a HITT once a week. I have to say that his plan really works! Thanks again, Jay!

I’m currently training for my first-figure competition. After much research, I realized that Coach Jay was the best fit for me. I love the fact that he’s very communicative because things never got awkward. He is highly professional and has exceptional people skills.

Jay was able to design a workout that suits my fitness level. The biggest thing to me is that he allows my daughters to attend my posing practice. I want my girls to know they can be anything in the world, so them seeing how mommy transform is very important to me! I’m very grateful I have Coach Jay with me at my show to help me through this process! When my weekly checks are not favorable, he is highly supportive and checks on me often.

Jay personalizes his programs to fit into your schedule. My schedule is crazy, and so is my body. My body doesn’t respond the way most do to diet and exercise, but with his help, I finally see results. My friends and family also mentioned they noticed changes in my body. I don’t mean just weight loss but building muscles and more energy. These are what people have noticed in me.

Jay is brilliant, professional, and fun to work with. He has helped me gain muscles. He taught me how to eat correctly. As I didn’t eat much every day, I needed to gain weight, which is just as challenging as losing weight.

Gaining the right weight with muscles and not fat is the most difficult task. But Jay guided me to the successful path! There have been a few falls from the wagon, but he just says, “ok, let’s jump back on!”. Great coach! I really recommend him!

I am a 41-year-old man. I work a job with an inconsistent schedule and where I stand for 11-12 hours. People like me routinely develop repetitive motion injuries. After working a couple of shifts, I was at the point that I would have sore legs, a numb right shoulder, and muscle aches down one side. My weight was creeping up. My metabolism was fundamentally broken from eating inconsistently (another byproduct of my job).

I found Fitness RX Studios when I finally decided that I didn’t want to become crippled in another 10-15 years of abusing my body. I met with Jay and talked about my goals. While they train figures, bikinis, and bodybuilders, aesthetics has never been my goal. I wanted to get my metabolism right and improve my overall shape to minimize my job’s damage to my body. I had minimal experience in a gym, so personal attention was required to ensure that I didn’t break myself trying to do things the wrong way.

Now, I have been with Fitness RX Studios for almost four months. We started with nutrition planning based on REAL SCIENCE, no Dr. Oz baloney here. I have enough educational background in this area to know that the concepts they use are legitimate and not the result of any fads or trendy diet plans.

As for training, I went through the first week of my twice, weekly sessions doing something of an “evaluation” where we worked together to determine where I was physically. I moved to an integrative exercise program with some weights here and there but lots of different exercises to develop core stability and muscle coordination. These were my core requirements, as the whole point of my working with Jay was to develop overall physical health and limit potential injury in the future. Once I graduated from this stage, we switched the focus to more weight training, which is where I’m at right now.

I already am working pain-free, am lighter on my feet, have better energy and stamina, and eating good food in enough quantity that I never feel like I’m on a diet (that’s because it’s not a diet, it’s eating correctly!). I’m never going to be a fitness model—that was never my goal. If I was shooting for aesthetics, I’m sure Jay could get me there (I’ve seen it in some of his other clients).

Throughout the whole process, I felt confident that what I was doing was planned with MY specific goals in mind. I am sure Jay is actually really passionate about what he’s doing and gets great joy in witnessing our success. The guy genuinely likes his job, and it shows. I feel like I made the right decision choosing Fitness RX Studios. I would recommend them without question.

Starting this program with Jay reshaped my life. I went from an overworked and overtired mom of two, with zero exercise experience, to a weightlifting, energetic woman. I had never felt this great about myself or had this confidence, even BEFORE I had kids! I’ve lost 10 lbs and toned muscles I never knew I ever had! Being a mom is definitely challenging, especially when it comes to dieting, but this program isn’t about diets. It’s about a new way of life, where I can eat what I want within reason, track my macronutrients, lose weight, and tone my body. With my busy life, it took me a few weeks to get the hang of keeping track of what I eat, but like with anything else in life, discipline and habits helped me learn. I realized that it was easy! Now, I monitor my food calories without even thinking about it! This habit has changed my life. I wouldn’t be this wonderful version of myself without Jay!

My binge eating and purging disorder started when I was 13 years old. Twenty years later, even after liposuction and gastric bypass, I still struggled with body image and diet.

I hired a trainer who told me to eat 1200 calories a day without first accessing my body. He also put my friend on the same diet when her body is much different than mine! He told us to stay away from bread and pasta and told us we could only weight train until we got lean.

After two years of training with him, three times a week with lots of cardio and no results, I met Jay at Fitness RX Studios. He immediately taught me about nutrition and training.

Today, I can see consistent results while still eating more than ever, no fasting, no cleansing, and eating cookies (my favorite) as well as other foods I desire as long as they fit in my plan. I can also do a little cardio now! Whenever I skip my training by mistake or go on vacation, I still see the effect of my fitness program.
